What personal data ChainVest collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

Last updated 1 January 2026

1. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to operate your investment account.

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, country.
  • Verification data: identification documents you submit for review.
  • Financial data: deposits, allocations, returns, withdrawals and ledger entries.
  • Technical data: device, browser, IP address and session records used for security.

2. Why we use it

We process your data to operate your account, execute and record transactions, meet legal and anti-money-laundering obligations, detect and prevent fraud, provide support and, where you opt in, send product updates.

3. Legal bases

We rely on contract performance to operate your account, legal obligation for compliance record-keeping, legitimate interests for fraud prevention and platform security, and consent for optional marketing communications.

4. Sharing

We share data with service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments or support identity verification, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Financial and compliance records are retained for the period required by applicable law, even after account closure. Other data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Subject to local law and our record-keeping obligations, you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time from your notification settings.
  • Request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain.

7. Security

We protect accounts with email verification, breached-password checks, optional two-factor authentication, session controls, row-level database access rules and role-limited internal access recorded in an audit trail.

8. Contact

Privacy requests can be raised through a support ticket from the Contact page.
