Last updated 1 January 2026
Our commitment
ChainVest operates controls designed to prevent the platform being used for money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion. These controls apply to every account.
Customer identification
We verify who our users are before enabling full account functionality.
- Email verification is required for every account.
- Identity documents may be requested and are reviewed by our compliance team.
- We may request proof of address or source of funds for larger transactions.
Ongoing monitoring
Transactions are monitored for patterns inconsistent with the information we hold. Where something requires clarification we may pause a transaction and contact you for further detail.
Third-party funding
Deposits must come from an account in your own name and withdrawals are paid only to verified bank details in your own name. Third-party funding is not permitted.
Reporting and record-keeping
Where we are required to report activity we will do so, and we may be prohibited from telling you that a report has been made. Compliance records are retained for the period required by applicable law.
Cooperation
Refusing to provide requested verification information may result in restrictions on your account, including suspension of deposits, allocations or withdrawals.
